For the longer, multi-stage builds a lot of you do, a flat list of jobs and tasks only gets you so far. Nobody can quite say what phase the car is in. The overrun turns up at the end of the job, not at the end of the stage. And the turbo install you've quoted three times gets built from scratch a fourth.

So we built Pro+.

Build Stages

Break a build into the stages it's actually built in - Strip Down, Chassis Prep, Paint, Final Assembly. Each stage carries its own tasks, parts, checklists and reference updates.

• Budget per stage - green, amber from 80%, red when it's over. You see the overrun on the stage that caused it, while there's still job left to recover it
• A stage library - got a stage right? Save it, and drop it onto the next quote. It prices itself from your current part prices and rates
• Stage picklists - the floor picks the parts for the stage they're starting, not the whole build
• Reference updates in the app - new staff get the method, not just the task name

Gantt schedule

Drag bars to set dates, link one piece of work to the next, and see the whole build on a timeline. The Overall Schedule puts every running job on one view, so you can see what lands when - and which jobs are stacked on top of each other.

Stock Planner

Low stock tells you what's already run out. The Stock Planner looks ahead, using demand from your jobs, accepted estimates, and submitted estimates weighted by how likely you are to win them.

Sign-offs

Mark a stage or a process as needing a signature - a brake job, a road test, anything a customer or an auditor might ask about later. The signature is captured in the app against certification wording, so there's a record of who signed off and when.

Custom documents & labels

Design your own estimate and report templates, and use the new visual label designer for completely custom label sizes.

It's been a big few months, so a quick round up :

• A brand new Help Centre and Help Assistant for every account, with better search and new guides on Parts & Inventory, Xero, Estimates and Build Stages
• Two-factor authentication for web logins. Edit a User - you'll find the button down the bottom. We recommend it for anyone with access to management functions
• New dashboards - Team Performance (now colour-blind friendly), Open Timers, Job Focus and Onboarding
• Sublets on invoices, with their own default tax rate
• Supplier Invoices (Preview) - capture supplier invoices and send them through to Xero as bills. Purchase orders now send their due date to Xero too
• Chart of accounts without Xero - with a sales invoice export that includes GL codes
• 24-hour or AM/PM time - your choice, across timesheets and exports

Build Stages support is rolling out through the stores - Android 1.4.04 and iPhone 1.4.02.
